David Pugh-Jones joins Green Rock

We are thrilled and feeling excited to announce David Pugh-Jones has joined Green Rock as Board Advisor and Brand Consultant.

As Green Rock continues to build on its reputation as a leading creative content studio both here in the UK and internationally, David joins the business to support the leadership team as it builds out its direct-to-brands approach, accelerating content production across social, digital, web3 and connected media platforms.

As consumers increasingly turn to social for everything from search to shopping, Green Rock recently launched Green Rockz Brand Studio, a social-first content ideation and production offering. Building on the demand from clients to deliver social-first content campaigns. Green Rockz Brand Studio brings together storytelling, influencer partnerships, commerce and an agile production model into one single end-to-end product. 

Clients get to work with an agile team that combines content strategy and audience-first insight with an in-house team of social media experts and content creators. The results are hyper-relevant, channel-native content that speaks to Gen Z audiences, helping brands reach new communities and establish new connections.

David is a globally-focused executive leader with over 25 years of experience as a marketing, brand, technology and creative strategy architect. After spending a decade at Microsoft as their Global Creative Strategy Director, he then set up and led the European content, partnerships, and creative team at BuzzFeed as, Director of Brand Strategy. 

As a client-side CMO at Cudo Ventures, Cudo Compute (A Decentralised Cloud Computing Network) and Cudos (Sustainable Blockchain powering web3 experiences) he owns and delivers the strategic marketing efforts, focussing on successfully delivering the company’s brand, product and community growth, purpose and ethical proposition, whilst growing the global brand’s consumer and business footprint.

David has achieved many notable accolades as a brand marketing executive throughout his career. Having produced award-winning, integrated and transformative experiences for global brands, including Intel, Microsoft, ASUS, Xbox, Nissan, BMW, Nike, Paramount, Puma, Canon, HP, Nestlé, General Mills, Vodafone, IKEA, AON, HSBC, IMG, Visa and Ford.

Within the industry, he is also known for being a mentor, coach, advisor and speaker on branded content and marketing strategies, supporting the next generation of industry marketers contemplating the transition from web2 to web3.
