Green Rock, the UK’s first truly virtual content production company, is thrilled to become an Albert approved supplier. Green Rock VCS allows users to work remotely from anywhere in the world, cutting down on travel and logistics pollution and increasing access to diverse talent anywhere.
Green Rock is one of only three companies in London to deliver post-production among their services and achieve this Albert status, and the only virtual one to earn this environmental accreditation. The company hopes to inspire others in the industry to make similar moves to ensure better working practices.
Albert is an organisation that brings screen industries together to tackle environmental impact and inspire sustainable living. It provides guidelines and accreditation to help media industry players to clean up their act and work in ways that will increase the possibility of a sustainable future.
Green Rock is also on its B-Corp journey, working towards the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency to balance purpose and profit.
Simon Green, Founder and CEO of Green Rock said: “We are thrilled to become an Albert approved supplier. Green Rock recently repositioned the brand and purpose around sustainability, and so as well as producing amazing creative work, we measure our success by how we create positive impact for our partners so to be recognised as a pioneer for sustainable workflows is what we want to be known for above all else. Moreover we are hoping that our achievement will inspire others to do the right thing and work towards being more accountable in terms of the environment and sustainability.”
Will Bourns of Albert added: “It’s great to have Green Rock on board in this position. Film, TV and content creation wherever it lands, needs to be more than just entertainment, we all need to be conscious of our actions and impact on the environment. We should all be Albert.”
Green Rock provides a virtual remote working solution so that content creators of all kinds can work together and collaborate from wherever they are in the world. Looking after that world is a high priority and not having to courier drives across the country or commute to different destinations, leaving a higher carbon footprint, need not be a part of making brilliant broadcast material.
