Founder and Managing Director
Simon founded Green Rock as a dedicated post production facility in 2008 following extensive experience as an editor on BAFTA-nominated programmes for Discovery Channel, Channel 4 and the BBC. After edit-producing in our early days, he’s since overseen our evolution and now runs the show here at Green Rock, leading our production, business and client teams.
Simon is particularly interested in the development of experiential content, where brands and broadcasters engage with their audience in a live setting, and content enhances the experience.
Director of Content
Tim is our creative leader, with board-level responsibility for ideas generation, creative development and Executive Production across our entire output. He has two decades of experience in TV, radio, digital, live events and event cinema – and a strong track record in digital innovation and transformation.
Until recently, he was the first ever head of Digital Media and Publishing at the British Museum, and on the management team at Nesta. He was also responsible for launching the first websites for BBC Radio 2, BBC 6Music, The Times, Sun and Sunday Times. Tim is an accomplished and in-demand conference speaker.
Head of Post Production
Ashley has been our Head of Post Production since 2012, after joining us from a large facility in west London. With an extensive grounding in Post technology and talent, he and his team are constantly abreast of the latest broadcast and interactive innovation – from 4K and streaming services to VR.
Ashley is a creature of habit: with a penchant for Nottingham Forest (he’s a season ticket holder at the City Ground), and a daily request for tea at 4pm. Very civilised.
As our Operations Manager, Kelly is responsible for the day to day running of our business, finance, HR and scheduling. As you’d expect, she has an outstanding production background. Kelly joined us in 2015, having previously worked as a production manager and line producer for multiple live music series on Channel 4 and MTV, and on documentary series for Sky Arts.
Today, she manages the nitty gritty behind a huge diversity of Green Rock’s output, from factual to music entertainment. She also oversees the scheduling of our dedicated post production hub: no mean feat in its own right.
Jamie is the Senior Editor at our Goodge Place post production centre, working across a diversity of our core output, from documentaries to music content and online virals. He’s also a key player in our development team, creating fresh and innovative ideas and formats for production.
Jamie began his career at the BBC, before moving into Post at MTV where he worked on a range of shows for six years. Today, he’s most passionate about music content and culture documentary work.
A central player on all projects that the entertainment production team delivers, Kika joined us as a freelance and came on board full time in summer 2016. Her previous experience comes from the fashion industry in Casting Director and Production Assistant roles.
Matt is our Edit Assistant in Goodge Place, acting as the DIT on our productions, prepping each project, supporting our editing team and ensuring that each session runs smoothly. Like many of our colleagues, he began life at Green Rock as a freelancer and then joined us full time in early 2016.
After interning, he developed a background in freelance animation. Matt’s already looking forward to a future of VR gaming in 4K and in HDR. But until then, he’ll have to settle for marathon gaming sessions on his PS4.
Sarah is our very newest newbie, having started at Green Rock in autumn 2016. She’s straight in at the deep end, in charge of keeping our production team running smoothly. With a background in retail, in-house recruitment and HR project management, she’s clearly a people person. So we’re confident she’ll fit right in.
Outside of work she’s passionate about health and wellness, and is a (very busy) mum to two gorgeous children.
After graduating from Buckinghamshire New University in 2009 with a degree in Video Production and Film Studies, Will joined us as an Edit Assistant and has worked his way to greatness ever since. Today he’s one of Green Rock’s Editors, using his skills to help directors and producers develop their creative vision. You’ll find him working across a huge variety of our work, from short-form online content and brand campaigns to long-form documentaries for traditional broadcast.
